15 years old, nailed by a car, killed in Socal High School

A 15-year-old boy was killed in a collision in the Campbell Hall parking lot on Wednesday afternoon and five others were injured.

The Los Angeles Police Department received a call at 3:10 p.m. involving a driving collision at the studio's city private school, according to a department spokesman.

The boy was hit by a green 2025 Rivian SUV while crossing the parking lot and nailing it to the white SUV, a spokesperson said. He was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later pronounced dead.

Two other minors and three adults were injured in life in the collision, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Antenna video captured by KTLA News helicopters showed three cars piled up in the parking lot. It seems that when Rivian pushed the white SUV into the black SUV, parents lined up in their vehicles to pick up and drop off students from school.

The cause of the collision is currently unknown, and the driver's identity is the same.

“My heart is in the entire Campbell Hall community,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsay Horvath said in a statement on X.

After the incident, the mayor's crisis response team was sent to the school to provide emotional support and recovery assistance to relatives and witnesses, LAFD said.

Campbell Hall is a private bishop K-12 school that includes prominent alumni including actors Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen; Dakota and Elle Fanning; and NBA players Jrue, Aaron and Justin Holiday.

School representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
