Ukraine invites NATO summit in The Hague this month

Ukraine defended itself as a full-scale Russian invasion and he received an invitation to the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague.

“We have been invited to the NATO summit. I think it's important,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters on Monday.

The invitation was extended during the meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha's mission is to prepare for the meeting.

Zelensky didn't say whether he would go to Holland by himself. A summit of NATO military alliance members is scheduled to be held in The Hague in less than three weeks.

Ukraine has been fighting the Western-backed Russian invasion for more than three years. Preventing Kiev from joining NATO in the country's constitution is one of the main reasons why the Kremlin launched an attack on neighboring Ukraine.
