Ukraine's second city's largest drone strike to date
The mayor said at least two people were killed and 17 others were injured in the largest Russian drone attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city.
Ihor Terekhov said that overnight, Russia launched 48 drones, as well as two missiles and four glide bombs.
“We suffered a lot of losses,” he said. The footage has appeared, showing a floor where such a building was on fire.
Last night, six Ukraine were killed and 80 injured, when Russia attacked the country with more than 400 drones and nearly 40 missiles.
The attack occurred in Ukraine's bold drone attack to target four air bases aboard Russian strategic fighter jets.
Ukraine's security service SBU said at least 40 Russian planes were crashed in spider web operations last Sunday.
Ukraine said 117 drones were used: They were first smuggled to Russia and then placed in wooden cabins, installed at the back of the truck, and hidden under a removable roof that operates remotely.
The truck then apparently was driven to a location near the Russian Air Force Base by a driver who seemed unaware of the cargo. Then start the drone remotely.
Russian President Vladimir Putin carried out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
