Nissan receives 17,000 N7 orders in its first month
Dongfeng Nissan, one of Nissan's vehicle manufacturing companies in China, announced that it had received orders for more than 17,000 N7 battery-powered sedans in the first month.
The N7, launched on April 27, is the first of nine new energy vehicles (NEVs) that Nissan plans to launch in the summer of 2027, as Japanese automakers hope to reverse their sharp decline in sales in the world's largest vehicle market. Delivery of N7 is mainly aimed at young families and begins on May 15.
The N7 has two battery options, 58 kWh and 73 kWh, with a maximum cruising range of 635 km. The car is equipped with an advanced end-to-end driver assistance system called Autopilot, which was developed in conjunction with Chinese autonomous driving technology company Momenta. The model also has a “zero pressure seat” that uses an AI-based adaptive posture system that adjusts the seat based on the input of a single sensor.
The N7 has three specification levels in China, namely the Max, Pro and Air. Max and Pro models offer two batteries at prices between CNY 119,900 and CNY 149,900.
“With the N7 as a new starting point, we will create more diverse and exciting automotive lifestyles with everyone,” Dongfeng Nissan Managing Director Isao Sekiguchi said in a statement.
Nissan confirmed that it plans to export N7 and other Chinese-made NEVs to “help meet global demand and strengthen the restructuring of Nissan's product strategy under the RE:Nissan Recovery plan.”
“Nissan received 17,000 N7 orders in the first month” was originally created and published by GlobalData-owned brand Just Auto.
