The Pope says

Rome (AP) – Pope Leo XIV settled on Friday, Sept. 7 as the Catholic Church's first millennial era San Carlo Asutis was rescheduled.
Leo made the announcement at a Cardinal Council known as One to set the dates for a few new saints.
The model of Acutis was originally scheduled to be held on April 27 but was postponed after the death of Pope Francis on April 21.
After a brief match against leukemia, Acutis died in northern Italy in 2006 at the age of 15. He has become very popular, especially among young Catholics who flock to Assisi's grave.
Despite his enjoyment of his regular pastime of age – hiking, video games and joking with friends – he also taught catechism in his local parish and paid tribute to homeless people. He used his computer skills to create an online exhibition that exhibited over 100 communion miracles recognized by the church over centuries.
His tomb in Assisi has become a pilgrimage site, especially during the holy year of 2025. It has a glass coffin
When setting the date on September 7, Leo announced that it would be named champion with Pier Giorgio Frassati, another Italian Catholic dock, who also died at the age of 24 after shrinking polio.
