At least 45 people raided in central Nigeria
At least 45 people were killed in an overnight attack in Benue state, central Nigeria, officials said.
Witnesses said the attack was conducted by armed cattle, and police said they later interacted with the attackers.
Many houses were burned down during the raid in Yelewata town.
Conflicts between nomadic groups and settled farmers are common in central Nigeria. They partially push them in the competition on the land.
