Trump's comments came amid the ongoing missile barrage between Israel and Iran. The battle began last week when Israel launched an attack from within Iran, targeting many of Iran's senior military commanders and the country's nuclear facilities.

Trump reiterated in his Monday comments on G7 that he has provided Iran with 60 days to reach a deal about a new nuclear deal proposed by the president that could prevent the current battle.

“They have 60 days, and on day 61, 'We have no deals.'” Trump said, standing next to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, “They have to reach an agreement. It's painful for both sides. ”
