Erick is the fifth storm in the Eastern Pacific hurricane season of 2025 – Make Landings for a Category 3 The National Hurricane Center said Thursday in Oaxaca, southern Mexico, was later downgraded to a tropical storm.

Erick is expected to generate 8 to 12 inches of rain, with a maximum of 16 inches, spread across Oaxaca and Guerrero, causing “life-threatening flooding and mudslides, especially in steep terrain areas.” Chiapas, Michoacan, Colima and Jalisco are expected to see 2 to 4 inches of rain.
The center said: “Dangerous, life-threatening” storm surges are storm surges that rise in sea levels during the storm and are expected to cause coastal flooding near the land and in the west of the storm center. ”
