Global action against Russia, Iran and North Korea needs
Ukrainian President Vodimir Zelensky calls for joint international action against Russia, Iran and North Korea.
“Russia is now trying to save Iran's nuclear program – there is no other way to explain public signals and non-public activities,” Zelensky said in his night video address.
He said Moscow will try to intervene whenever Russia’s partners are under pressure. Unity between Russia and its allies must be prevented.
Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed that Russia could ensure peaceful use of nuclear energy in Russian ally Iran to avoid concerns about nuclear weapons.
“When Iran's Shahed drone (now massively upgraded) and ballistic missiles from North Korea – also upgraded – killed our people in Ukraine, it clearly showed that global solidarity and global pressure were not enough,” Zelensky said.
“We have to tighten sanctions a lot.”
Flowers for victims of Russian air strikes in Kiev
Zelensky laid flowers in a destroyed residential area in Kiev on Thursday, two days after 23 people were killed by a Russian missile strike. A total of about 30 people were killed in air strikes in Kyiv and other cities.
“It's intentional terror because the Russian army under Putin is everywhere,” Zelensky said.
