UFC star Jon Jones accused of leaving the crash scene a few days before retirement

Just a few days ago, UFC star Jon “Bones” Jones was accused of leaving the scene of a car accident in February.

Four months after the accident, but a criminal lawsuit was filed in the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court last Tuesday, which is unknown, but Jones held a bond arbitration hearing scheduled for July 24. The charge is a misdemeanor in New Mexico.

The complaint states that authorities responded to a crash in which a drunk woman found an unclothed drunk woman in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. According to the Albuquerque Daily, she claimed that Jones was driving and he fled the scene.

The woman told police she had alcohol and mushrooms at home with Jones and she recalled she needed to change her clothes. The next thing she remembered was at the scene of a vehicle crash.

A man allegedly said was said by a police soldier when the woman called him from the scene. The person on the phone did not answer questions about his identity.

During the conversation, the complaint claimed that the man was believed to be Jones “seemingly intoxicated and made statements, meaning he has the ability to hire deadly forces through a third party.”

According to Alburquerque Daily, Jones was interviewed face to face a few days after the crash, and he allegedly confirmed the woman was drunk and called him after the crash.

Jones has dealt with legal issues in his UFC career, and many consider it one of the best performances ever.

UFC CEO Dana White announced Saturday that Jones told them he would retire on Friday, resulting in bringing his undisputed heavyweight title to Tom Aspinall.

“Jon Jones called us last night and retired,” White said in Azerbaijan. “Jon Jones officially retired.”

Jones' posting his post on social media confirms his retirement.

He wrote on X: “This decision was made after a lot of reflection and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the journey I have gone through.
