The National Hurricane Center is watching a series of showers and storms located in the northwestern Caribbean. This disruption is expected to bring the northwest into Campici Bay this weekend. If this low-pressure area can stay on water, then tropical development is possible, but the chances are low. Regardless of development, heavy rains are likely to occur this weekend to next week in parts of Belize, Guatemala and southeastern Mexico.
