CBS News Host John Dickerson settled Wednesday with President Donald Trump Paramount.
“Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS News, has filed a lawsuit with President Trump today,” Dickson said on CBS Night News Plus. “Reporters don't like to report themselves. Sometimes it's false humility. Mostly, it's a practical limit. Journalists try to find order in chaos.”
Dixon said solutions and solutions like this hinder the press’s ability to “take power”.
“Paramon settlements pose a new barrier,” Dixon said. “Can you take the power of your account after paying millions of dollars? Can you trust you when the audience thinks you have traded that trust? The audience will decide that our job is to show up to honor everything we witness.”

Fox News Digital learned that payments to Trump could reach $30 million north, in addition to providing eight figures for future eight figures, public service announcements or other similarly transmitted eight figures, a $16 million fee can be paid upfront to support future reasons for the network’s conservatism.
Current Paramount management has objected to the additional allocation, sources familiar with Paramount’s current leadership told Fox New Digital that only $16 million has been approved by official mediators and that they are not aware of any Trump deal with Trump with David Ellison’s Skydance media merger. However, Fox News Digital learned that the upcoming ownership would be responsible for additional allocations.
In the “CBS Evening News” program broadcast to radio audiences on radio television, Dickson has little to say about settlements.
“Ultimately, Paramount decided to settle a lawsuit, saying there was no legal and factual basis, nor an offense to the First Amendment,” Dixon said.
“60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley warned that the CBS settlement with Trump would be “very harmful”

Trump initially asked for a $20 billion lawsuit against CBS's lawsuit in a “60-minute” interview with then-advised President Kamala Harris last year, accusing the network of electoral interference ahead of the 2024 game. CBS has not acknowledged any news wrongdoing related to the solution.
