Germany's Lufthansa Group intends to resume flights to Tel Aviv on August 1.

A company spokesman confirmed on Tuesday that flights were resumed, while noting that security in the Middle East will continue to be closely monitored.

German Airlines canceled flights to Israel in early May, with Houthi rebels from Yemen landing near Ben Gurion Airport.

The group's airlines include Lufthansa, Switzerland, Austrian Airlines, European Airlines, ITA Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo.

Other destinations in the Middle East were also cancelled after the escalation of the Gaza war and Israeli attacks on Iran.

The situation is different now: flights to Beirut have resumed, with Amman in Jordan and Iraq taking place on July 11.

Flights to Tehran were suspended until July 31, although Lufthansa had cancelled flights to the Iranian capital until August 17.

The Swiss decided to suspend flights to Tel Aviv from at least at least October 25 to July 31 to October 25.

Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary Eurowings also canceled flights to Tel Aviv, and until October 25, Beirut was unable to provide services until at least July 11.
