LōvuHealth Rakes on $8 million maternal health platform

The company announced last week that digital maternal health company LōvuHealth has received $8 million in Series A funding, which it will invest in AI.
The Cupertino, California-based company supports both mothers and babies from conception to two years after childbirth. The company assigned a pregnancy navigator to work with her mother and her obstetrician. Patients receive devices such as blood pressure monitors, fetal heart rate and smart scales that are connected to Lōvu's app. The company monitors health daily and notifies the OB about any problems, and the patient receives weekly reports of their health.
The Lōvu app also recommends tools such as nutrition and exercise guidance and mental health checks. In addition, mothers can access professional care markets of third-party digital suppliers such as Duras, lactation support, sexual health counseling, physical therapy and mental health.
The Series A is led by SJF Ventures and includes participation from Rogue Women's Fund, Synphonic Capital, Emmeline Ventures, Majella Ventures, Oakwood Circle Ventures, Sand Hill Angels, Swizzle Ventures, Swizzle Ventures, Terrasys, Stand Ventures and Cone Ventures and Alumni Ventures. Lōvu received a total of $14 million in funding.

The funding will help the company invest in AI and launch three augmented agents in the near future. Additionally, as the company scales, funds will “support automation, integration and staff to meet the needs of mothers, clinicians and providers.”
