DIY $4 Rake

DW wanted the rake to remove cuttings from the lawn and I just wanted them to be…so I built the rake.
The rake is made of $2 8 feet long 2×4 [lengthwise] Use a hand saw. I use part for the handle and the other for the rake (bar) itself. 19 teeth come from two $0.99 3/8-inch pins, cut into 2.5-inches. They are spaced 5/4 inches apart in the middle of a 1/2 inch deep hole, I use the support and auger. Glue these in. Mount the handle on the rake and pull it into the offset pin with the-tenon, which also makes the middle tooth also the middle tooth. It's not about letting me unplug the rake again. The bending is made of chisels. This joint is quite solid and has no dedication, so I don't have to provide diagonal support, which complicates the matter.
The rake works very well. Grass does not stick to teeth. This always seems to be the case for metal rakes, which annoyed me. However, the rake is a little heavy due to the huge handle. I don't want to spend too much time planning it. Maybe if I get tired of weight, I'll put it down more and make it very perfectly balance the rake.
All in all, I believe I have 3-5 times less rakes now than buying a better one.
PS: Conceivably, a person can sell a $1 rake in the yard or get one at Freecycle. However, according to the first paragraph, this is an urgent matter.
