Former U.S. Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted this week that Democrats won’t find podcast host Joe Rogan, and that efforts to regain cultural relevance must include connecting with average voters.

The former Biden official made this point on Friday’s “Weekly Show with John Stewart Podcast.” Buttigieg talks with the host about how Democrats can better convey their message to voters after the loss of the 2024 presidential election.

He said: “My party is for who is our Joe Rogan. We won't have Joe Rogan on the left.”

Stewart agrees with the argument that the party cannot produce the highest global podcasts on Will, which will amplify liberal thought.

“It’s not something you can think of in a way like this – they just think, ‘Oh, let’s build this thing inorganically.’ These positions are built over time, they earn credibility, they earn authenticity, and they win all of these things, you can’t just put them into practice.

Buttigieg evaluated his fellow Democratic: “The other big thing that my party is behind where we say that is what we say is what we say. I mean, we mean the media space we are in.”

“The Experience of Joe Rogan” is one of the most influential podcasts in the world and attracts a large number of male viewers, a crowd that is crucial to President Donald Trump's 2024 election victory.

“Over the past two years, a popular group of podcasts and streamers have consolidated themselves as a new mainstream source of information for millions of young people, according to a new Bloomberg analysis, they have used their purpose to assemble these constitutionalists in support of Trump and political rights,” Bloomberg reported in January.

Trump's interview with podcast giants in the final weeks of the campaign attracted tens of millions of viewers. The conversation and Rogan’s ultimate recognition of Trump’s candidacy are seen as a boon for Trump.

Even the Democrats know the importance of the Logan platform and hope to get former Vice President Kamala Harris to the show before Election Day. Although the former Democratic presidential candidate appears on other well-known podcasts, such as before the game ends.

While the party has some hope to replicate Trump’s success on Rogan, Buttigieg told Stewart it still needs to focus on its original strategy to find new voters, including entering a more conservative space.

“I think we're really trying to find where people are,” Buttigieg said.

He added: “I might be the tenth person about the same thing in freelance performances, or maybe it's the first time someone has heard an idea if I'm in a more conservative space.”

“There are other S–the people to do!” said Stewart. “Yes,” Buttigieg replied.
