According to French investigators, one woman died and another became fatal at a cryotherapy session, which was fatal due to a cold room malfunction at a Paris gym.

Cryotherapy is the use of frozen or near freezing temperature for therapeutic purposes. It is said to reduce inflammation, pain and cramps.
