“Real Time” host Bill Maher did not fall behind as Democratic candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) in 2028.
Maher began a panel on Friday, pointing out famous “squad” member and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt).
“Thank you.” Mach responded to the audience. “There is the same guy, I call him the 'always wrong' guy – I'm kidding.”
“But I think these shiny objects that Democrats are chasing for feel big again. It has nothing to do with the crowd you are talking on the festival or anywhere, because I think Bernie appears on Coachella on Coachella. It must be fun for fans,” Maher continued. “This is someone who came out on Election Day. I just can't see that's the vote.”

He defeated Sen. Cory Booker DN.J.'s 25-hour marathon speech, and Democrats “strike each other.”

“And you really don't think AOC should be a candidate, right?” Mach asked.
Smith replied: “Selecting a candidate will be who it is not my job.”
“Oh, this is mine [job]”Mach quipped.” No-It shouldn't be her. It shouldn't be her. ”

Ocasio-Cortez has seen a surge in the recent Democratic primary, second only to former Vice President Kamala Harris. Noted poller Nate Silver said this week that she is currently the most likely candidate to win the Democratic nomination in 2028, although Ocasio-Cortez has yet to indicate that she is running for president.
Earlier in the show, Mach pointed to a viral moment from AOC-Sanders Rally, where anti-Israel protesters lowered the “Free Palestinian” flag on the U.S. flag and were ejected by police, prompting Rallypogue people to chant “Free Palestinian” and Halt Sanders’ speeches.
“I'm a little worried that that's where the Democrats are, and it's their next stupid hill,” Mah said. “So's the ode to free Palestinian, whom I want to ask. Do they realize who is really the one who enslaved the Palestinian people?”
“If those stupid people had any knowledge, they would say ‘Free Palestine from Hamas’,” author Douglas Murray responded to Maher who agreed. “At least, they will do that.”

At another point on the show, Maher mocked Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer for her embarrassing moment last week, as she tried to hide her face behind a folder while she was in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump. Whitmer is a two-time governor in swing form and is widely regarded as a candidate for 2028.
“We need a better Democrat than that,” Maher said.
