Israel strengthens operations in the Gaza Strip

From Friday night to Saturday night, on Jewish weekend, the Israeli military continued dozens of air strikes in the Gaza Strip.

The military said on Saturday that the Air Force carried out about 150 attacks on “terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.”

Over the past seven days, 300 targets have been attacked in the battle against the Palestinian Islamic Hamas movement, and more than 1,400 targets have been attacked in the air since the resumption of hostilities on March 18.

The sealed coastal area is home to more than 2 million Palestinians.

Ground forces reportedly destroyed a tunnel in a few hundred meters south of Rafah near the south, equipped with clumsy traps.

40 Hamas fighters were allegedly killed and many militia's weapons and vehicles were confiscated.

Claims cannot be verified independently.

The Israeli military generally does not provide information on the number of civilian casualties caused by its operations.

Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Saturday afternoon that it was a Hamas-controlled health agency, with 92 Palestinians killed in the fight and 219 injured in the past 24 hours.

Since the outbreak of the Gaza War on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians has risen to 51,157. These numbers do not distinguish between warriors and civilians.

The trigger for the war was the worst massacre in Israel's history, which was carried out by Hamas and other extremist Palestinian groups in southern Israel. On the Israeli side, 1,200 people were killed.
