The New York Giants jumped back to the first round and grabbed the future quarterback, with social media being divided on how to view the choices.
The Giants traded with Houston Texans without Buffalo, Colorado star and Heisman Trophy finalist Shedeur Sanders for No. 25 Miss Ole quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Nowadays, DART is always considered the one who can lead Sanders. But when a Pittsburgh Steelers, desperate to need a quarterback, brought Derrick Harmon out of Oregon State as No. 21, no one knew where either of these two prospects would land.

But the Giants traded their 34th and 99th picks in this year's draft, as well as a third-round pick in 2026 to return to the first round and get a double-threatening quarterback from the Rebels.
One of the direct reactions on social media is a comparison with Daniel Jones, who was released by New York last season to end his roller coaster tenure.
“The Giant Trading to Draft QB, and the Giant from Jaxson Dart is very interesting,” said one X user. “That's so giant.”

Skip Bayless, the personality of sports talk, also tore the draft pick.
“Shedeur Sanders is much better than Jaxson Dart,” he tweeted on all the hats. “This is ridiculous.”
But there are people like ESPN NFL analyst and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III who are trying to see it from both perspectives.

“You don't have to hate Jaxson Dart to support Shedeur Sanders,” he tweeted.
Longtime NFL head coach Jon Gruden now introduces the sport of Barstool Sports, and he also shows his love for Dart's resilience.
“The New York Giants fans…you're getting a tough sob!” he said, through a video where two of them broke some of the films from the Ole Miss season. “Congratulations to Jaxson Dart!”
Sure, the memes started strolling, but the moment the Giants chose DART, it was all about two independent NFL draft trips with two quarterbacks in total.
Sanders didn't choose the remaining draft picks in the first round, meaning he had to wait at 7pm Friday to see where he might go in the second or third round.
Speaking to the media after being drafted, Dart said he had been in touch with Giants head coach Brian Daboll throughout the draft. However, the texts began to die two weeks ago.
Finally, Dabor is his head coach.
“This is where my journey begins,” he told reporters via ESPN. “I’m sitting in a room with a Super Bowl quarterback.”

The quarterback is Russell Wilson, who signed in New York and was signed by New York and is expected to begin in Week 1. Another senior signal caller, Jameis Winston, is also on the depth map, which separates Dart's multi-brain in the quarterback room.
