Three teenage boys injured in Boyle Heights shot

Authorities say police are looking for a gunman who injured three teenagers in a shooting in Boyle Heights Monday afternoon.

According to a department spokesman, the Los Angeles Police Department had a call in the 3:51 p.m. shooting in the 400 block of North Soto Street. Police said the Los Angeles Fire Department brought a 15-year-old 16-year-old and an 18-year-old to a local hospital with non-life gunshot wounds.

Police said the suspect was last seen traveling north on North Soto Street along a gray BMW sedan. Authorities described the suspect as a person wearing a tie-dye sweatshirt and blue pants.

According to KTLA's helicopter video, the incident triggered a large number of law enforcement reactions and closed North Soto Street in both directions.
