WAPO Report
(Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy JR intends to change the way vaccines are tested, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.
The paper says the potential changes will require all new vaccines to be tested for placebo — before comparing the results, some people receive the vaccine and receive other vaccine procedures.
“All new vaccines will be tested for placebo-controlled trials before permitting, which is fundamental to past practices,” a HHS spokesman told the Washington Post.
The department did not clarify how the changes were implemented and which vaccine would be adopted for the test, the report said.
HHS did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment outside of regular working hours.
