Ford Mustang GTD costs more than $600,000
Although there has been a lot of news about the Ford Mustang GTD, the fastest American car in the United States, for Napurglin, Germany, all it doesn't know is its cost. A new leak claims that with the exclusive Pony car option, it will get owners back more than $600,000.
This guy can use GTD instead of Mustang ecoboost.
To take a look, if you want to buy the new 2025 Porsche 911 GT3, the base of the MSRP is about $222,500. That's a lot of cash. If you really want a complete enchilada, the GT3 RS will get you back about $244,000 or so.
This is important because Porsche took the 911 GT3 with a manual transmission instead of the faster PDK and beat the Mustang GTD's original Nurburgring lap speed. Ford returned to Nordschleife in a fury and shaved for a few seconds for the first time.
Even though it beat the 911 GT3, the car has no PDK and is not an RS model. It costs about one-third of the price of Ford. Ouch.
We know that some people are loyal to the blue oval, or just want to buy an American car, and they will be happy to pop up for this expensive Mustang. Given that production should be limited to a few hundred per year, and running may only last a few years, Ford doesn't need many people to be willing to make a cash pony.
Still, we can't overcome the price that the Mustang GTD can sell you to pay for the new Lamborghini revuelto or Ferrari 812 Competizione. We have always thought that one of the attractions about Mustangs is that they are affordable performance cars.
