Truck capsizes in the OR-126 forest in Eugene, dumping scrap metal and causing delays

Eugene Springfield Fire Department officials avoided the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Washington Street after asking the public on May 22 to avoid spilling on metal debris on OR-126.

The Eugene Springfield Fire Department asked the public to avoid carrying scrap metal on the side of Seventh Avenue and Washington Street along the OR-126 ramp at 3:15 pm on May 22.

Officials said the trailer overturned, spilling a large amount of scrap metal into the Washington Street below.

No firefighters were reportedly able to curb hydraulic oil leakage on the truck.
