Israeli authorities said Friday that another 107 trucks carrying humanitarian aid arrived in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Palestinian Authority said trucks carrying flour, food, medical equipment and medicines entered the sealed zone.

Israel blocked aid delivery in the Gaza Strip on Monday. Prior to that, it had not allowed any delivery since early March, accusing the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas of reselling the supplies to fund its fighters and weapons.

The United Nations and aid organizations warn of the Gaza famine. Aid workers say the number to Gaza this week is far from enough to alleviate the suffering of the population.

They also described the difficulties in allocating aid.

“There are significant challenges that remain due to insecurity, the risk of robbery, delays in coordination approvals and inappropriate routes provided by Israeli forces are not feasible for the movement of goods,” the United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator said.

The United Nations said 500 trucks need to enter Gaza every day to feed about 2 million people in Gaza.
