The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Saturday that Israeli settlers attacked two Bedouin villages in the West Bank.

The aid group said an attack targeted a settlement east of Ramallah that was abandoned by some of the 25 families living there due to previous attacks.

China said the remaining five residents were injured in the attack.

In addition, seven people were injured in a second incident in a village east of Bethlehem.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that settlers tried to set fire to the house.

They also killed goats and sheep from some villagers, which were crucial to their livelihoods.

The Israeli military initially did not comment on the report.

The situation in the occupied West Bank has worsened since October 7, 2023, with attacks on the Palestinian militant group Hamas and subsequent wars in Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 920 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, armed conflicts and attacks by extremists.

Violence against Palestinian civilians by radical Israeli settlers has also increased.
