Panthers' Brad Marchand fuel cuts dessert rumours

Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand made a sensation in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night.

After the second phase of the third game, Markand was found in the locker room and ate some sort of snack from a spoon. It launched the ice cream puzzle around the defending Stanley Cup title before Monday’s decision game.

The former Boston Bruins star was asked after the Panthers' 6-2 victory, if he was actually eating the Cow Queen's snowstorm. The Panthers turned their heads when they visited Raleigh for Game 1 and Game 2 after a cow queen in North Carolina visit.

“You don't have a chance to fight a blizzard there, do you?” SportsNet reporter Kyle Bukauskas asked Marchand.

“Yes, that's a little chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard,” replied Marcanganden.

Florida head coach Paul Maurice seems to be suspicious of Markand's claims.

“Man, there are cameras everywhere. We can't get rid of anything anymore,” Morris said. “But it's going to be a good story.”

Marchand does praise the restaurant’s dessert choice.

“You can't beat it. It's the best dessert in the world.” “So, I'd better get a free cow queen for a lifetime now. Thanks, guy.”

Whether it's the Dairy Queen Blizzard, the Panthers hit well in the Stanley Cup playoffs and reminded the NHL why they are the defending champions.
