Two people were killed in the shooting of Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on Memorial Day, including three teenagers, including three teenagers, police said Tuesday.
All nine people were injured in the shooting Monday night in a steady state. A police officer told the media briefing that both a man and a woman were deceased victims.
According to police, there are a large number of adults in the park.
“We have not recovered any weapons yet,” the official said. There were no arrests.
“It's important. It's Memorial Day…we understand the importance of this event and we will make sure that updates are available on Tuesday.”
Memorial Day, traditionally observed on the last Monday of May, is a federal holiday in the United States dedicated to respecting and mourning military personnel who died in the performance of their duties.
