According to media reports, the Cavaliers will soon become Sir David Beckham

David Beckham, a former captain of England football team, has been an ambassador to UNICEF for twenty years and will win the Cavaliers on the honors list of King Charles III next week.

The BBC said Beckham would gain further recognition for his football career and contribution to British society without citing sources.

The Cavaliers will become “Sir David” of Beckham, and his wife has been the former spice girl Victoria Beckham since 1999. In 2003, Beckham was awarded the order to serve football in the British Empire. Victoria Beckham received the same honors on the late New Year’s list of honors.

Honors are honored twice a year, once in the New Year and then in June to commemorate the King's birthday. Although the monarchs also had opinions, they were mainly conducted on the advice of the government.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office will not confirm news reports as usual. Buckingham Palace declined to comment. The Associated Press was unable to independently confirm the Cavalier's ruling, which reported for the first time in the Sun newspaper.

In a video published in The Sun, published earlier this month at the Chelsea Flower Show, the King was seen asking Beckham if he had “received his 50th birthday gift.” The king seemed to say “I'm glad it got you” and Beckham replied: “It's incredible, thank you, it's kind.”

Beckham and King crossed the road several times, including in national functions. Last year, Beckham became ambassador to the King's Foundation, Charles, an education and sustainability charity founded in 1990.

Beckham is known for his sports career

Beckham, who is obviously the Patriot, is the only British football player to score in three different World Cups, and his outstanding career includes the 1999 Treble-the-The The Treble Championship, when Manchester United won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Beckham has made 115 appearances with the England National Team, ranking third on the all-time roster. He also served as captain in 59 games.

After leaving Manchester United in 2003, Beckham played for Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain. He now co-owns the MLS Inter Miami team.

His career hasn't always been very high, though. After the World Cup in France in 1998, Beckham was sent away for his widespread insult to his irritability against Argentina player Diego Simeone. Many fans blame him on England's exports.

In the 2023 Netflix Documentary Series Beckhamhe described the abuse he suffered, including the statue of him hanging in a noose outside a London bar.

“I know that's bad, but the whole thing is tough,” he told the Associated Press.

A four-part documentary series about Beckham’s life and career won him an Emmy Award in 2024.

Beckham has been an icon and celebrity in style and has been a prominent supporter of charity including UNICEF, which founded the David Beckham UNICEF Foundation in 2015 to commemorate a decade of partnership between the two. Beckham was also awarded the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

If the Cavaliers are confirmed, Beckham will join an elite group of British football players, including England's 1966 World Cup champions, Geoff Hurst and Bobby Charlton, and Scotland's Kenny Dalglish.
