American tourists vacation in Turkish and Caicos Islands – Country

After leaving Airbnb early in the morning, an American tourist disappeared in the Turkish and Caicos, heading towards the downtown area of a popular tourist destination.

Brian Tarrance, 51, appeared on security footage for the last time, left his rental house in Grace Bay in Providenciales and walked downtown around 3:30 a.m. on June 25, according to private investigator Carl Defazio.

Defazio, hired by Tarrance's family, told News 12 Westchester that nothing was ordinary, causing him to disappear.

“He looked good until everything before he walked out of that house,” Dazio said. “They had a boat trip to have supper, just like other families would do when they were here.”

Tarrance, who recently moved to Manhattan, arrived at Turkish and Caicos on June 22 with his wife. They plan to stay until June 29.

Tarrance disappeared and his wife went to bed. When she woke up, he was no longer at Airbnb.

“They seemed to have a few normal days and he ended up walking out of his apartment, which was a very safe place and the middle of Grace Bay Road,” Defazio told Fox News. “We had him sit on the camera, he walked into town, and then he basically disappeared and we haven't heard from him since.”

He was seen leaving the rent in a T-shirt, shorts and sneakers. He also carries his cell phone and wallet with him.

Defazio said it remains a mystery why Tarrance left Airbnb first.

“It's a bit strange in itself,” he said. “He's in the city. His wife is sleeping.”

Defazio said he has been working to get Tarrance's record of phone activity on the island, but it was a “slow process.”

Royal Turks and Caicos Police have listed Talens as missing and are currently investigating the matter.

Defazio said police are using drones to scan the area and review CCTV footage from missing nights.

“We are doing everything we can. We have covered the area with photos and put it on social media chats and all kinds of things,” Defazio said.

He said he was “very proud of the responses from local businesses and people on vacation,” who provided assistance after distributing missing persons throughout the island.

“We have not succeeded so far, but we have not given up hope…I told my family…in this case: keep a positive attitude until there is a reason not to exist.”
