Angel Reese has a low career on rebounds

Phoneix Mercury demolished the Chicago sky on Saturday afternoon in Wintrust Arena’s 107-86 victory.

Sky Forward Angel Reese struggled with nine points and two career-low rebounds.

Reese is usually tenacious on boards with an average of 11 rebounds, a non-factor in the glass in blowout losses. Reese was defeated once.

As a team, the Sky has only 22 rebounds.

The sky fell to 3-9 due to losses and lost five of its last six games. Kamilla Cardoso and Michaela Onyenwere led the sky with 17 points.

Mercury sets a franchise record for most three-pointers made with 17 points. Sami Whitcomb hit five of those 17 3-pointers and scored 17 points in the win.

Six different Phoenix players scored at least two three-pointers and won the WNBA single game.

Phoenix scored 35 shots in 68 innings, 17 of 35 in the 3-point range, 20 of 20 shots from the free throw line and 25 assists.

Mercury's victory was their fifth straight, improving them to 11-4 this season.

Sabri scored 15 points for Mercury, and Alyssa Thomas scored 11 points and 8 assists. Brown and Kitija Laksa each added 11 points.

Mercury's next game is on Friday against New York Freedom, and at 3 p.m. ET, they will rebound from their defeat against Atlanta Dream.
