The British royal family is expected to continue to “stay away” from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

King Charles III will once again ride a carriage in Saturday’s colors, an annual event, according to People Magazine.

The monarch, who is still receiving cancer treatment, will join Prince William, Kate Middleton and his three children as well as Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Queen Camilla and other key figures in the celebration.

“Continuity will have a place in stability while prevailing,” British Royal Expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News figures. “The senior royals who are quite intentional distance from the Sussexes will have a unified front that they have not been invited for the third year in a row, thus avoiding disturbing distractions.”

For the celebrations, Prince William is expected to ride with his aunt Anne and Uncle Edward, People's Magazine reported. His wife, Kate Middleton and their three children will be in a carriage and appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with King and Queen Camilla.

“King Charles did not ride horses, a custom of the British monarchs for centuries, but traveled in Queen Camilla's carriage,” Fordwich explained. “Because of his age, his highly respected mother set the precedent when he turned to a carriage trip after 1986.”

Despite the king's ongoing health challenges, Fordwich said the incident would emphasize “the importance of royal resilience and tradition.” The celebration also expresses family hope and perseverance.

“King Charles' cancer treatment is going well and his schedule is still busy, which shows optimism about his health and domination,” Fordwich said. “The courtiers are also preparing for his 80th birthday celebration, a few years from now.”

It is understood that only senior working royals were invited to perform the color. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned in 2020 as senior royals, citing the unbearable invasion of the British media and the lack of support from the palace. That year, they moved to California.

After the Royal Exit, the couple announced their dissatisfaction in interviews and in documentaries. Harry’s 2023 memoir Recares, full of private details and awkward revelations about Windsor House, makes the situation worse.

The 40-year-old source had previously told People that the king would not respond to his letters or phone calls.

In May, Harry told the BBC that he was ready to reconcile with his family, but the patriarch would not speak to him.

On Saturday (the same day as the color is done), Meghan will be honored at the Wonder of Wonder Gala at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. However, People magazine reported that the event had been postponed amid immigration protests in the city.

“The fact that Meghan will be attending events in Los Angeles at the Museum of Natural History is a very unrelated to the color,” Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. “It has been postponed now due to tensions in the area.”

In 2024, People Magazine confirmed that the couple was not invited to the annual celebration. According to the media, they did not attend the event in 2023 either. They were one month after the wedding and then again welcomed their first child, Prince Archie, to the 2018 Color in 2019.

“The family will assemble as ever, but I personally hope that Charles will no longer work hard to push himself to continue the ritual,” Turner said. “If he relaxes more, the whole country will be relieved. He has nothing to prove, and the British people are behind him.

“Charles would ideally like to have Harry and Meghan return to England and Andrew without the shame he brought to the royal family. However, he can only play the cards he has dealt with in his life.”
