Beauty influencer shoots in Tiktok live stream inside a Mexican salon – Country

A Mexican social media influencer was shot dead during a live stream on Tiktok and her beauty and makeup videos gained a huge following.

Her violent killings drove Shockwaves through Mexico, a country facing the highest gender-based violence in the world.

The death of Valeria Marquez, 23, is under investigation and is considered a woman, Jalisco prosecutor said in a statement Tuesday night. (Female kills women or girls due to gender.)

Max was killed Tuesday in Zapopan near Guadalajara by a man entering Zapopan near Guadalajara, where she was hired and shot her. The suspect has not been named yet.

A few seconds before the incident, Max was seen in Tiktok's live broadcast, sitting at the table with a plush toy. As the sound was made in the background, she heard her say, “Hey, Valley?”

Max responded to “Yes” before mute.

Shortly after she was fatally shot, one man grabbed her phone, and their faces were briefly displayed before the video was turned off.

At the time of her death, Marquez had about 200,000 followers on Instagram and Tiktok and earlier said on the livestream that a person arrived at the salon when she was not carrying “expensive gifts.” Max, who seemed worried when telling a story, said she was not going to wait for the person to come back.

Marquez last posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday morning, where she could be seen posing in front of what appeared to be a salon.
