British Prime Minister's efforts to support Ukraine in “Willing Alliance” update Trump
LONDON (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer updated U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday after a talks between “a coalition willing to strengthen Ukraine” amid a peace deal with Russia.
A Starmer spokesman said the call happened late Monday.
The spokesman said: “The Prime Minister's call for the President has renewed the President… He reiterated that all must work together to put Ukraine in its strongest position to ensure just and lasting peace.”
The two also discussed a trip to Washington on Tuesday to make progress on the weekend's broader economic agreement and the U.S. strike against the Houthi targets, which Britain has put on a regular airfield refueling, he told reporters.
