BTS stars RM and V ended South Korean military service 18 months later

RM and V are members of the popular Korean band BTS, completing mandatory military service 18 months later.

According to Yonhap News, the two singers were welcomed by journalists and hundreds of cheering fans at the military base in Chuncheon, South Korea on Tuesday.

“There are a lot of tough and tough times, but in military life, I realize we are able to actively engage in our careers because people protect and fight our country both on the front and back lines and on the back lines.”

With their discharge, four of the seven members of the BTS have now completed mandatory services.

Singers Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to be fired on Wednesday, while Suga, which will complete an alternative service as a social worker for health reasons, is expected to be completed on June 21. Jin and J-Hope have completed their military responsibilities.

Fans hope to come back

South Korea requires all sound men to serve in the military for about 18 months, usually between 18 and 21 years old. This obligation led to an extended group interruption by BTS, sparking speculation about a possible breakup – the band has always denied the band’s rumors.

BTS is one of the most successful behaviors in K-Pop history, known for top hits like “Dynamite” and “Dance Allowed”. The group debuted in June 2013 with the single “No More Dream” and has since built a global fan base.
