Former NFL star Boomer Esiason posted a brief message to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams after a book revealed details of former USC standouts in an attempt to avoid the 2024 NFC North Team choice.
Williams and his father Carl asked attorneys to find a solution to the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, explored the signing of the United Football League and considered tearing the city of Chicago and the team to cause controversy, “The Biography of the Kings of America: The Quarterback.”

Still, the Bears chose Williams with the No. 1 draft pick, playing just 12 games under Matt Eberflus before the coach was fired. Now, Williams will play under Ben Johnson.
Esiason talks about the details of the book in his WFAN morning performance in New York.
“The level of rights is breathtaking. No wonder he failed initially, and it’s no surprise why the coach was fired. So now they’re out and got offensive coaches in Ben Johnson.
“So what do you know? Now in his A. OK, please fix it.

Book says
Essison said he would tell Williams “Just shut up and you’ll be in the greatest league that we all love the sport and you’ll have the chance to make $500 million one day because people like me and people before me are on strike, so you can actually make more money.”
“Keep the pie holes closed, go out and play football, win your respect and earn respect.”
Williams, and no Bears commented on the details of the book.
Williams said when Johnson hired that he was “very excited” about it.

“Then, once I got off the phone, I was driving on the highway, and I didn't know if it was safe, but I shouted and just got excited,” Williams said. “It brought a lot of clarity to the offseason. It brought a bunch of different things to the offseason. I was so excited about the Bears and was able to achieve that. And let Ben Johnson be our coach for a long time.”
