Carney holds talks with Zelenskyy Modi as G7 Summit enters its final day – Country

Prime Minister Mark Carney will hold bilateral talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and will be held at the G7 summit in Alberta today.

The G7 will continue on the second and last day without U.S. President Donald Trump leaving negotiations early on Monday.

Trump said he left as tensions in the Middle East escalated and he missed the day Carney was supposed to focus on foreign policy.

Carney expands the G7 invitation to other countries – but is the cost worth it?


Carney will meet privately with Zelenskyy, who will work with the G7 leaders for a breakfast meeting to end the Russian invasion.

Modi met with Carney late this afternoon and attended various meetings this afternoon, including discussions on energy sovereignty with Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.

Modi's visit sparked loud protests from Sikh separatist groups after RCMP accused New Delhi of participating in blackmail, coercion and homicide.
