Chris Brown is detained on suspicion of 2023 attacks in the UK

Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown's upcoming tour was questioned Friday after a British judge ordered him to be detained while facing allegations that he defeated music producers with bottles in a London nightclub in 2023.

Brown, 36, appeared in the Manchester District Court court, facing one count of serious bodily injury and was ordered until his next hearing in London on June 13 – on the day he will take the stage in Frankfurt, Germany on the third date of his world tour.

Judge Joanne Hirst rejected Brown’s bail request after prosecutor Hannah Nicholls said the crime was “very serious”.

Nichols said Brown was touring the UK in February 2023 when he launched an unprovoked attack on producer Abe Diaw, hitting him several times with a bottle in a tape nightclub at London's hipster Mayfair. She said Brown chased Diyavi, slammed him, kicked him, attacked an attack, and attacked a man in a club at a club.

Defense attorney Grace Forbes believes that American performers are not flying risks and should be released.

Brown has both sides of court officials on the dock. His hair was bleached with blondes and he wore sweatpants and a black T-shirt. He confirmed his name and date of birth and said his address was the local Lowry Hotel, where he was arrested and detained earlier Thursday.

His case was transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London, where he is expected to plead guilty to the charge.

Brown's representative did not immediately respond to the Associated Press' request for comment.

Brown's Tour

Brown is often referred to by his nickname Breezy as the teenage music industry in 2005, with famous songs over the years (e.g. Run it,,,,, kiss and without you.

He won his first Grammy Best R&B album in 2011 Fame. Then he won his second gold trophy in the same category 11:11 (Luxury) Earlier this year.

The singer will be on an international tour with artists Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller next month, opening up with European legs in Amsterdam on June 8 before starting North American performances in July, including two shows in Toronto on August 19 and 20.
