Color Health partners with Evry Health to expand access to virtual cancer care

Cancer care company Color Health is partnering with insurance company Evry Health to enhance employer health plans through its cancer care services, according to an announcement Wednesday.
Evry Health is a Texas-based insurance company serving fully insured employers with 51 or more employees. Its plans have no traditional cost-sharing, including no copays and deductibles, and offer a care team of nurses, doctors, nutritionists and behavioral health providers.
Through a partnership with Color Health, Evry Health members now have access to Color's virtual cancer clinic, which includes services such as screening, diagnostic support, therapeutic care and clinical survivorship experts. Color Health will work with health plans to identify members who are eligible for care, enroll them in screenings and support them with next steps through 24/7 clinical resources.
“Color is looking to expand to reach more patients and improve cancer care through access, convenience and early action,” Color Health president Caroline Savelo said in an email. “Through this partnership, our goal is to empower members to better understand their cancer risk, provide convenient access to guideline-based screening, close care gaps, direct members to in-network care sites and reduce the number of late-stage cancer diagnoses in the member population.”
Dr. Glenn Hamilton, chief medical officer of Evry Health, said Evry Health chose Color Health as a partner because of a common philosophy.
“Color provides members with end-to-end cancer care, from guideline-based screening approaches, through treatment and survivorship,” said Hamilton. “Color addresses members' needs along their health journey and delivers client care and service with the same humanitarian philosophy that guided us when we created Evry Health in 2017.”
The partnership comes at a time when approximately 80% of employers list cancer as their top health cost driver. About 4 in 10 adults will develop cancer in their lifetime, and an increasing number of younger workers are developing cancer. In partnership with Color Health, Evry Health is committed to expanding access to more proactive cancer care.
“We want our members to have access to state-of-the-art screening, counseling and support for all aspects of cancer – from a better understanding of how best to stay healthy and mitigate cancer risk factors, to explanations and support for abnormal screening results, to proactive treatment navigation and clinical services to help with symptom management, and support for cancer survivors,” Hamilton said.
Other cancer care companies include Thyme Care, OncoveryCare and AccessHope.
