Date of interim trial of suspects in the car accident in Liverpool – Country

A British man was charged in court on Friday with serious physical injuries after a car crashed into a group of Liverpool football fans injured nearly 80 people during this week's Premier League victory parade.
Paul Doyle, from the West Derby area of Liverpool, was charged with seven counts of causing serious bodily injury, including dangerous driving and two counts.
The 53-year-old appeared in Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday morning and confirmed his name, address and date of birth.
“These charges stem from around 6 p.m. on May 26 … in the city center,” Prosecutor Philip Astbury told the court.

“When a large crowd left the beach after the parade to head for the local football team, the defendant (prosecuted) said they deliberately drove to the people in the crowd when they tried to leave the area.”
Doyle was remanded and later briefly held a further hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on the interim trial date on November 24. He did not ask him to plead guilty to any of the seven charges before his next appearance on August 14.

The event was held on Monday night in Liverpool's crowded city centre as about 1 million people came out to celebrate Liverpool's championship victory and watched an open bus parade that included the team and its staff winning the trophy.
Police said the incident caused a total of 79 injuries, not acts of terrorism. As of Thursday night, seven people were hospitalized stably.
