Desperate Palestinians clean aid trucks, some entering Gaza Strip

The air filled the air when the AIDS truck finally crossed the border and entered the Gaza Strip.

Civilians took a truck to a bakery in Khan Younis, and hungry fuel began to plunder the flour bags on the tablets.

Abdul Mohsen Fayyad is one of the people who are eager to eat flour.

He told CBC freelance photographer Mohamed El Saife that he said: “Hunger makes you do bad things.”

The 45-year-old said he has been eating and just to take medication and eliminate hunger. But once he heard the truck coming in, he joined the Raiders, trying to secure a bag of flour.

“We want to eat, we want to live, we want to live a glorious life,” he said.

Hungry civilians pick up food from aid truck entering Gaza

CBC News follows a humanitarian truck that entered the Gaza Strip in the southern city of Khan Yunis on Wednesday night as it was besieged by hungry civilians who took a bag of flour from the truck before reaching the bakery that supplies unloaded.

In an instant, gunfire can be heard nearby – gangs gather to clean up the scene. Ahmed Al-Faqawi, 16, managed hardly to get a bag of flour and climbed under the truck to cover it.

He said he was sleeping when he heard the truck driving and running.

“I did it when I saw people attacking, too,” he said, and ran to the evening and carried a bag of flour.

Israeli officials said Israel brought 100 aid trucks carrying flour, baby food and medical equipment into the Gaza Strip, as UN officials reported that distribution issues meant that so far no aid had attracted people in need.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would open a temporary ceasefire to bring hostages back. But he said otherwise, this would take full control of Gaza in the military movement.

The Palestinian health minister said on Thursday that 29 children and elderly people have died in hunger-related deaths in recent days, and thousands are at risk.
