A California senator was quickly kicked out of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after breaking into a press conference on anti-ice riots in Los Angeles.

After Noem spoke loudly, D-Calif. Senator Alex Padilla was kicked out of the room by authorities because they ordered him to raise his hands.

The incident happened after Norm said that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “stayed here and put the city from the socialist and the governor and the mayor under the heavy leadership of the country and their attempts to insert it into the city’s leadership.”

Norm did not skip the beat, and continued her address without any reaction.

Gov. Gavin Newsom came on X to comment on Padilla’s outbreak, placing the blame on the Trump administration’s temporary detention.

“@senalexpadilla is one of the most decent people I know,” Newsom wrote in the post. “It's outrageous, authoritarian and shameful. Trump and his shocked forces are out of control. This has to end now.”

Less than 24 hours before the incident, Padilla withdrew from a congressional baseball game in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night due to the riot.

He plans to start at first base.
