Amid the flooding of Guadalupe River in Texas, a father is looking for an adult daughter, which is a terrible discovery.

Ty Badon, the father of the missing 21-year-old Joyce Badon, told CNN on July 5 that he found his daughter's name when they were searching for a district in Hunt, Texas.

“My son and I were walking, and I thought it was a model. It was an 8 or 10-year-old boy who was dead.” Ty said, one of four college friends who were believed to have been swept in the flood on July 3.

“We're just walking, the same thing we did when we stumbled upon him,” he added. “Hopefully we'll find our kids, my daughter and her friends.”

ABC News reported that the flooding of the Guadalupe River brought it to its second highest ever. Each San Antonio exports KSAT, where at least rains are raining in the area, while several counties are reporting deaths, including Kerr, Travis, Burnet and Kendall, each under KXAN.

Kerr County, about 50 miles northwest of San Antonio, suffered a particularly severe blow. According to CNN, the city of Kerrville declared a state of emergency due to flooding, and Hunter (also in Kerr County) experienced more than six inches of rain in three hours Friday, a “1 minute 100-year event” for the area.

CNN reported that flooded areas experienced “rain over the entire summer” in a few hours.

As of Sunday, July 6, the death toll in the area reached at least 79 as first responders continued their search and rescue operations, the Associated Press reported.
