Donald Trump leaves G7 summit early due to Middle East crisis

US President Donald Trump is about to leave the Kananaskis G7 summit as conflicts escalate in the Middle East.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump “had a great day at the summit” but would leave Alberta on Monday night.

Trump called for an immediate evacuation of the Iranian capital Tehran in a social media post Monday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, Trump warned that Tehran needed to contain its nuclear program before it was “too late.”

The U.S. president said the Iranian leader “want to talk” but they had 60 days to reach a deal on their nuclear ambitions and had not done so four days ago before the Israeli air strikes began.
