Elon Musk ends the administration role, but Trump says “He will always be with us”

Elon Musk has completed his official role in the Trump administration, but if President Trump’s latest facts about social positions show any signs, then billionaires won’t go further.
“Tomorrow I will hold a press conference with Elon Musk in the Oval Office at 1:30 PM ET,” Trump released Thursday. “It will be his last day, but not really, because he will always be with us and helping along the way. Elon is great!”
Musk's government services will end on May 30, a statutory restriction designated by its “special government employees”. He was appointed head of the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in January, which was created by an executive order on the inauguration day.

“As my scheduled time as a special government employee ends, I want to thank President @realdonaldtrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” Musk announced on Wednesday. “The @doge mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life for the entire government.”
“The Governor-General's leaders are every member of the president's cabinet and the president himself, who are wholeheartedly committed to cutting waste, fraud and abuse from our administration,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stressed Thursday.
Cut up.
According to a May 26 update of Doge's website, the program saved $175 billion through asset sales, cancellation of contracts, crackdowns on fraudulent payments and other spending cuts. The savings per taxpayer are about $1,087.

Doge's coverage has expanded across the federal government, but it's not without a way back.
Democrats in Congress have severely criticized Musk's role. Rep. Melanie Stansbury (DN.M.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett of D-Texas warned Musk as an “unelected official” within the executive branch.
Despite the criticism, the market welcomes Musk to return to the private sector. Bloomberg reported that Tesla shares rose 4.2% this week in news of his administration's exit.
