Retirement

Everyone wants to…

When I was a precocious kid, i.e. now as annoying as it is, but in a more adorable way, our family took a road trip in Sweden. I'm reading road signs, which is an outdated way. In retrospect, it helped prepare me for a great career in scientific research, but I digressed… I was confused by the fact that I was traveling through Sweden with street signs indicating the lead to a small town called “Center.” I think the “center” is a very influential town in Sweden, like Washington, D.C., or Hollywood, California, or we drive in the circle, which is not an unlikely assumption given the designated driver/navigation team (my parents). I've discarded the idea of Sweden having a 4D hypercube topology, which is so weird. No need to mail me the answer, I found out later, okay?

But one thing still bothers me. Sometimes I hear these 30 seconds of ads on the radio, with some of the optimistic guys/Chipper girls explaining “everyone loves to eat out in the olive garden” or “everyone wants to shop at Macy’s” or “everyone should be on a table rock vacation in Wyoming” (population 82).

But I can’t figure out who this “everybody” character is because of my love for table rock. I've never heard of “everyone should retire before 40”, “everyone wants to start a Roth IRA in Sugtrad”, or “everyone needs to save 50% of their income”. Maybe these things are difficult to say in fragmented voices? Um. I've been practicing! It might be difficult, but I'm sure I'll get it
