Morristown, New Jersey – Rep. Mikie Sherrill won the New Jersey Democratic Governor Tuesday night.
The Associated Press predicts that Sherrill won the Democratic primary, having a competitive match against three-time governor candidate and former Republican Congressman Jack Ciattarelli to replace Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy, who was restricted this year.
Sherill swept a crowded field of Democratic candidates, including Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey Mayor Steve Fulop, New Jersey Education Association president Sean Spiller, former New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney and U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer.

Gottheimer said Trump sent the National Guard to California without Newsom's request to be “outrageous”.
