Gender therapy raises 'severe concern' about children's risk: HHS report

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) gave a comprehensive review of best practices for children and adolescents suffering from gender irritability on Thursday.

The report, titled “Treatment of Gender Irritability in Children: Review of Evidence and Best Practices”, was published by the Assistant Minister of Health and the Office of Population Affairs.

“This review, derived through an evidence-based medical approach, reveals serious concerns about medical interventions such as pubertal blockers, transgender hormones and surgery, attempting to convert children and adolescents into gender,” the HHS press release said.

The report highlights evidence of risks associated with gender-related treatments, including irreversible infertility, sexual dysfunction, reduced bone density, adverse cognitive effects, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, mental illness, surgical disease, surgical complications and regrets.

It also cites “very weak evidence of interest”.

The study found that young people grow in the gender of young people is irritable.

The author also questioned the ethics surrounding children and adolescents who suffer from gender irritability.

“HHS believes that medical ethics should be central in this debate,” the release said.

A group of doctors, medical ethicists and methodologists contributed to the review, HHS said.

“Contributors represent a broad political perspective and have been chosen for their commitment to scientific principles.”

“Our duty is to protect the children of our country – not to accept unproven and irreversible medical interventions,” said NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. “We must follow the gold standard of science, not the radical agenda.”
