German Defense Minister Pistorius arrives in Kyiv for aid talks
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kiev on Thursday, saying he wanted to talk to Ukrainian leaders about the situation in the country and discuss additional military aid.
“We are doing everything we can to support Ukraine so that it can defend itself and get into a position where Russia is ready for serious negotiations,” Pistorius said before the trip.
Despite efforts to international peace, Russia has recently stepped up drone and missile attacks on Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Ukraine reported the largest Russian drone attack since the war began three years ago, involving 479 Shahed drones and several cruise and treble missiles.
