Tellez pounded a line straight back to the line it came from, standing out from the bat at a scorching speed of 106.6 mph.

With zero reaction time, the ball hit the boundary of Smith's cap and the right-hander narrowly escaped severe injuries.

As the hat broke Tellez's hit speed, it dripped into the outfield, which was enough to double the amount of him to second.

But Smith was completely unwavering as he beat the next batsman to finish the game.

Cleveland fell to 35-33 with losses, a disappointing record so far, winning the AL Central Championship. They are now playing 9.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers.
